Bela Rudenko is a Soviet, Ukrainian and Russian opera singer (soprano) and teacher. People's Artist of the USSR. Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR. Bela Adreevna states that she was always lucky in life. She was lucky when at the contest of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow she was noticed by the famous Italian singer Tito Scipa. She was lucky to enter Odessa Conservatory at the first attempt, was lucky to go around the world with her concerts, was lucky to work with the outstanding director Boris Pokrovsky. But she was lucky to escape the Stalingrad siege as a child and not to die of starvation during the evacuation... The singer speaks about her career, her teaching career and her family.
